Corner House, in the pretty old fishing village of Staithes is over 200 years old and grade II listed. Cosy and quirky, this 2 bedroomed cottage has all the features and character of an old cottage but with plenty of today's modern comforts.
Tucked away in a secluded corner (hence the name!) the cottage can be found just off one of the typical narrow Stathian ginnels right behind the harbour. It's a stones throw from the beach, pubs and shops but once you are in it's quiet little courtyard you feel nicely hidden away from the hustle and bustle.
Staithes is part of the North Yorkshire National Park and is nestled on the coast, within a short drive of Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend and Runswick to the south and Saltburn with it's surfing beaches to the north. Staithes itself is absolutely full of character and charm with its traditional cottages, winding streets and ginnels hilltop paths and picture perfect harbour. There are lots of good pubs, shops and cafes in the village, a beach for lying on, rockpools for searching in and boats for day tripping on. Further afield there is an abundance of dramatic countryside and pretty coastlines to explore.
